Choose the air cooler for your home this summer

When it comes to beat the heat at home without burning a hole in our pocket the first appliance that comes to our mind is the air cooler but choosing the right one which fits our requirement as well as budget becomes a difficult task and in our day to day life we are so busy that we don't have enough time to research about a particular product before buying it. So to make it easy for you to choose the right air cooler we have researched for you. Read the full article and buy the right air cooler for you.

Here are some points you should keep in mind before buying an air cooler

Which type of Fan you should use?

The right fan for your cooler is a must-have requirement as fans are the part that blows out air. So basically there are three types of fans centrifugal fan which looks like a turbine, propeller fan which is also known as exhaust fan and last one in vane axial fan which looks identical to the ceiling fan and have flat blades.
In our opinion, if you are buying a small size cooler or a cooler with small space to blow out air then choose the one with fans in the shape of a turbine (centrifugal fan) and in case you are buying a desert cooler than with blind eyes you should buy the cooler with exhaust fan as it makes the air transfer very nicely. So choosing the best air cooler for your house becomes easier by following this guide.

Body

There are three types of materials that are used for making a cooler first is the plastic body which is used by mostly all the brands and in the market, you will see the number of plastic cooler is way higher than the other coolers in the market.

The second common type of material is fibre. Desert colours are made using fibre because of their better strength and durability compared to plastic.
And lastly, metal sheets of iron, aluminium or steel are used for making the air coolers. Metal as we know is the most durable metal and also cooling starts early in metal cooler if you compare it to other coolers.

Every material have its demerits like chances of getting an electric shock from a metal body cooler is high and also corrosion is one more issue that makes the life span of a metal cooler less. This is the reason why all the big brands use plastic as the material for making coolers.
If you are looking for a room cooler with movability from one place to another then choose a plastic one and if you are choosing a window cooler that will permanently be fixed on your window then choose the metal cooler.

What type of pad is best for coolers?

Are you confused between a honeycomb pad and a wood wool pad? As in old times, all the coolers use to have wood wool pad but now the cooler comes with a honeycomb pad but people get confused whether they should buy it or not.
As we know these pads are important for cooling the air so to have the right pad in your cooler is necessary honeycomb pad is expensive as compared to the wood wool pad but have a very long life and better moisture-controlling efficiency.
On the other hand, wood wool pads need to be changed after every year of use.
You can go any of them as both so their job effectively but in case you have a good budget then no doubt choose honeycomb one.

Power Consumption

As we know we buy Air cooler instead of an air conditioner because it consumes less power and does it jobs very well in dry heat. So keep in mind to buy an air cooler with less power consumption but good air throw.

And always look at the BEE rating of the product. As more the no. of stars more the saving is.

Usually, an air cooler consumes between 150W to 300W depending on the size you are purchasing.

Which fan Motor is best for the cooler?

Always go for a Copper winding motor as it has more life compared to an aluminium winding motor and it also works hassle-free after hours of use but in the case of an aluminium motor it burns out easily after continuous use.
Brands usually use copper-binding motor but sometimes for cost-cutting they install the aluminium motor. So if you are attracted by cheap prices cooler than look whether the motor is of copper or not.
And also look for the ISI mark on the motor.
